When to bring it in

  • Knock or clunk over speed bumps and potholes
  • Car pulls to one side, or the steering wheel sits off-centre
  • Floaty, bouncy ride; the car keeps rocking after a bump
  • Uneven tyre wear, or a tyre scrubbing on one edge
  • Play or a notchy feel in the steering

Shocks & struts

Intervals and cars

No fixed interval. Shocks are checked at every service; bushes and link rods wear faster on rough roads and heavier loads. If you hear a new noise, come in before it takes a tyre with it.

Cars we see most for this: Suzuki Cultus, Mehran, Alto, Wagon R and Khyber. Honda City and Civic. Toyota Corolla and Vitz.

Every visit goes on your car's job card: what you reported, what we found, every part, labour and the odometer. How the record works

Questions

Asked most often

Why replace shocks in pairs?

A new shock next to a worn one makes the car sit and brake unevenly. Pairs cost more now and save a tyre later.

Will alignment fix the pulling?

Only if the parts are good. A worn bush or link rod moves as you drive, so an alignment on top of it doesn't hold. We check first, align last.

How long does a suspension job take?

Link rods or bushes on one axle are usually done the same day. A full front-end rebuild with alignment is a day.

Can I see the old parts?

Always. They stay with the car until you've seen them.
